Where It Began

Our mother, Pushpa Gupta, ran her kitchen the way her mother ran hers before her. Everything was ground fresh, every morning. Nothing came from a packet. Nothing was ever diluted or faked.

She could tell by sight whether a chilli had colour added to it. She could tell by smell whether turmeric had been stretched with sawdust. Food, to her, was not just nourishment. It was honesty on a plate.

Her recipes were built over 75 years of cooking for family, adjusting with the seasons, and trusting only what she could see, smell, and taste. Those recipes are the foundation of every HeriMore product we make today.

The Problem

When We Realised What Was in Our Food

Years later, when we looked at what was being sold as masala, atta, and spice powder in the Indian market, we were disturbed. Brick powder in chilli. Chalk in turmeric. Artificial colour in everything. Adulteration was not rare. It was everywhere.

The food our mother had made with such care was being replicated by brands using shortcuts, fillers, and chemicals. Families were unknowingly feeding this to their children, their elders, themselves.

We are not scientists or food technologists. We are daughters of a woman who understood food at its most honest. That gave us something no lab could: the knowledge of what real food actually tastes, smells, and feels like.

So we decided to act.

Building HeriMore

We started with nothing except our mother's recipes and a refusal to compromise. We learnt everything from scratch. We built our own manufacturing setup in Jabalpur, MP. We sourced ingredients ourselves, visiting farms, testing batches, rejecting anything that was not right.

We chose stainless steel grinding machines that preserve the natural oils in spices without contamination. We sun-dry ingredients the traditional way. We pack every batch by hand, immediately after grinding, so nothing is lost.

Today HeriMore is a women-led, made-in-India brand with FSSAI and FDA approval, distributed across the country, built batch by batch, with the same standards our mother set in her kitchen decades ago.
